Each year on the 19th of August World Humanitarian Day falls.
This Year’s World Humanitarian day honours the front line workers. It is a day that is designed to dedicate a date to recognize humanitarian personnel as well as those that have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.
This includes, nurses, doctors, midwives, community volunteers and those who risk their lives to ensure that everyone has access to health services, medical equipment, medication, food and much more. This has been especially underlined during the COVID-19.
