Vitality Health Assessment

This all new health and wellbeing assessment for 2024 uses revolutionary equipment to give you a complete holistic view of your body from the Inside Out.  Tests include:

Lipid and blood sugar testing.

These are two common types of blood tests that play a crucial role in assessing and managing an individual's risk for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders.

  • Lipid testing also known as a lipid panel or lipid profile, measures the levels of specific fats and fatty substances in the blood.

  • Blood Sugar Testing measures the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It is a key test for diagnosing and managing diabetes.

Body Composition (BIA)

Gives a detailed breakdown of muscle, fat, visceral fat, hydration, bone, cell health and muscular imbalances between limbs.

  1. Know What You're Made Of: It's not just about how much you weigh, but what your weight is made up of. This test tells you how much muscle and fat you have.
  2. Check Your Health Journey: If you're trying to get fitter, lose fat, or build muscle, this test shows you if you're on the right track.
  3. Food and Exercise Plans: Knowing your body's mix can help you and experts figure out the best food and exercise for you.
  4. Spot Health Risks: Too much fat, especially around the belly, can increase the risk of health problems. This test helps spot those risks early.
  5. Easy and Quick: You don't need to go to a doctor or get undressed. It's a quick test that can be done in gyms or even at home with certain scales.

Resting Metabolic testing (RMR)

How Does RMR Testing Work?

  1. Breathing into a Tube: This test is completed through breathing in and out of a mask for a 15 to 20 minutes. You're typically sitting or lying down, and you need to be relaxed and still.
  2. Analysing Your Breath: The machine analyses your breath to see how much oxygen your body is using. Since oxygen use is directly linked to calorie burning, this tells us how fast your metabolic engine is running.

Why Get an RMR Test?

  1. Personalized Diet Plans: Knowing how many calories your body burns at rest helps you figure out how many calories you should eat to lose, maintain, or gain weight.
  2. Understanding Your Metabolism: Some people have a "fast" metabolism, meaning they burn a lot of calories at rest, while others have a "slow" metabolism. This test tells you where you stand.
  3. Tailoring Your Fitness Goals: If you're into fitness or trying to change your body composition, knowing your RMR can help plan your workouts and diet more effectively. (Appointment slots have been held to take place on the 18th, 21st, 25th, 28th, 30th Oct, 1st & 4th Nov).
