17Oct

The Pavilion, Stormont (9:30am - 4pm)

You are invited to attend the Senior Civil Service Programme: Resilience - From the Inside Out, on Thursday 17th October.

The last few years have been a challenging time for the senior leaders in the NICS. The delivery of services, with unprecedented levels of change and challenges for staff at all levels. Dealing with these challenges may have impacted on your health and wellbeing.

To support staff in building resilience we have developed a specific Senior Civil Service Programme: Resilience - From the Inside Out, designed by NICS WELL in partnership with NICS HR.

This personal and professional development opportunity will guide you to develop greater self-awareness and enable you to take charge of your health and wellbeing.

A networking breakfast and light lunch will be provided during the training course, giving the opportunity to strengthen your connections with Senior Civil Service colleagues.

The bespoke programme is designed to provide you with an overall assessment of your health & wellbeing to guide and educate on interventions to improve your resilience:

  • Resilience - From the Inside Out (17th October) - In this one day group training event we will explore resilience from the Inside out with the aim of developing individuals' understanding of resilience and how to achieve greater personal resilience in a way that improves an individual’s health and wellbeing.

  • Vitality Health Assessment (selecting a date from 18th, 21st, 25th, 28th, 30th Oct, 1st & 4th Nov) - This health and wellbeing assessment uses revolutionary equipment to give you a complete holistic view of your body from the Inside Out. Our state-of-the-art Resting Metabolic testing gives insight into knowing how many calories your body burns at rest helps you figure out how many calories you should eat to lose, maintain, or gain weight. If you're into fitness or trying to change your body composition, knowing your RMR can help plan your workouts and diet more effectively. Sometimes, a very low RMR could signal health issues. This test can be a piece of the puzzle in understanding your overall health.

  • 1-1 Personal Development Coaching - Following the training, attendees will also have the opportunity to avail of 1-1 coaching sessions with our resilience and leadership consultants.
