Sarcoma Awareness Session 

On Thursday 15th August 2024 we will be running an online session with Sarcoma UK to raise awareness of sarcomas.

1^st-31st  July 2024 Sarcoma Awareness Month- Sarcoma is the general term for a broad group of cancers. These types of cancers begin in the bones and soft tissues. They are quite uncommon cancers but can affect any part of the body.

Sarcoma affects around 15 people per day in the UK. This equates to around 5,300 people per year. The rates of Sarcoma have been gradually increasing over the last two decades. Around 78% of people will live up to a year after being diagnosed with Sarcoma. In addition, the five year survival rate is 55%.
