Race For Recipients Challenge

21Sep 29Sep

Awareness Challenge

21st - 29th September

Organ Donation Week – 23-29 September 2024

The Race For Recipients Challenge it back!

Race for Recipients is a team-based event which challenges people to collectively travel distances towards a series of milestones, each one representing a meaningful organ donation statistical figure. The ultimate target is for a team to collectively travel 7,500km, which represents the number of people in the UK currently on the transplant waiting list, but there are several interim milestones, which are shown on the attached poster.

The challenge takes place from the 21 – 29 September and is free to enter.

Distances can be travelled by any combination of walking, running, cycling, swimming or rowing, and any distances count, no matter how long or short. The aim is for people to be active, share their activities and start conversations about the importance of organ donation.

Please share this information with your members.  You can join as a solo racer, as part of a wider team, or create your own club/group team.
